Absolut richtig, warum sind die Moppeds mit den kleinen Motoren meist so winzig ?
Weil sie für den Weltmarkt konzipiert werden, nicht für uns Nordeuropäer...

Der"Weltmarkt " besteht zu 50 % aus Asiaten, zu 25 % aus Südamerikanern und zu 25 % aus Afrikanern.

Eben dort ,wo man sich ein Auto nicht leisten kann und das Moped der bezahlbare Luxus ist. Die Afrikaner scharwenzeln ja schon immer um Itchys schwindsüchtige 300er Honda Enduro herum ,als wäre es eine ausgewachsene Reisenenduro. Selber fahren sie günstige China-150 ccm Mopeds für weit unter 1000 Euro. (geeignet für bis zu 5 Personen und ein Schwein)

vielleicht sind die so klein weil auch damit gewicht gespart werden kann. da kann mans uns "nordeuropäern" ja nie recht machen, beim gewicht.
als vor ein paar jahren die Benelli TRK 502 hies die glaub ich raus kam, da hat die als A2 bike so um die 230kg auf die waage gestellt, die war dann auch groß genug für unsereiner, aber eben auch bockschwer.

Unter grundlegende Werte verstehe ich Leistung, Gewicht Fahrbarkeit iim Verhältnis zum Preis.

So sieht's eben jeder anders.

"Grundlegende Werte" sind fuer mich keine handvoll zweitrangiger Tabellenwerte sondern eher die Gesamtheit der Attribute, Bauqualitaet, Verarbeitung, nuetzliche Details und gutes Design, praktische Alltagstauglichkeit uns Standfestigkeit, Reparatur/Servicefreundlichkeit, Haendlernetzwerk und Importeur-Attitude und, und.
Erst dann geht's weiter mit Technik und Leistung, Fahrwerten usw
"Namen und Rang" sind mir null-rangig.
Wenn der erste Teil nicht stimmt ist der Rest wurscht, das Ding ist fertig vorm ersten Schluesseldrehen.

Wie per oben, hier im non-Europa zaehlen andere Werte, Strassen sind rauh und Schotter/dirt vorrangig, AB's fast gaenzlich unbekannt, Entfernungen enorm, Tanken dutzende-bis-100te Kilometer voneinander entfernt, "ADAC" und Handy-Empfang oft Wunschtraum.
Gute Schottertauglichkeit, 18/21 Raeder, geraeumige Ergos fuer'n 1.80er, geschraubte Hilfsrahmen und Rasten, Klappspiegel, 200mm Huepfer usw braucht's auf gepflegtem Asphaltwerk natuerlich nicht, sind jedoch auf dem restlichen Globus schon sehr willkommen. Mal abgesehn vom Rest des Package. :-)

Der Extras Markt scheint's da aehnlich zu sehen, sind doch schon 7l LongRange Hecktanks erhaeltlich (nix mit TouraTech und Co, die schlafen noch)

The situation is this I own an Adv tour company in Australia (APC Rally)and we just completed the build.

I then took it too one of the best known race prep guys for Ktm called Rex Fleiter. ( Fuel Torque)
Now Rex has orange blood so my bike wasn’t allowed in his workshop but on the carpark he played with the suspension.
In short I am 94 kg. I gave him my brief. This bike must be able to hit jumps as well as a 690 ,790 and 890. So he wound the preload on the rear spring down one cm and we set the compression dial down the bottom on 10 clicks ( halfway )
Front we took the preload down to the 3rd marker. about one full revoltion and two clicks stiffer on the compression.
Now this set up worked really well. The set up was perfect.
If your a bush rider forget putting a 15 tooth sprocket on the gearing is perfect stock.
Full tank doing 110 kph my range is 355 km per tank. In the bush going hard this came down to 280 per tank.
I was doing 154 kph on the dirt and the bike felt good. Now here is the big surprise . It loves the sand and is easy to ride. I am planning to take the bike into the desert so I thought I better look into carrying a spare clutch set. The Ns 450 cf moto is the same clutch as this bike. Aliexpress spare fibres and disc is $65 . But I can’t see me burning a clutch. The Golden tyres 832 set worked really well. Other riders were commenting on the corner speed i was holding without the bike moving around.
I belted this bike yesterday and had some lads who could ride around me .We were all impressed with this bike. The suspension is so good stock it will blow the dr riders minds when they have a ride. Stock exhaust is awesome . Everything worked well. Some comments from other riders.

Another rider was there on a cfmoto his other bike is a ktm 890 rally but is off the road waiting on parts. He is loving the bike.
Now the haters who say power to weight ratio is stuffed. All I can say is that I took some wrong turns and had to turn it around on narrow tracks and it was way easier then my 990. It hit jumps and landed way better than a 990.
It had the power to ride thru a pack of riders so in other words the bike will do it if you can do it.
On a side note the 2 stroke enduro riders will love this bike. There is virtually no engine breaking.
The brakes are good enough to ride in a balanced fashion. It doesn’t move around under strong braking.
I pushed this bike yesterday and there is no way you would ride that hard on a true adventure ride that you want to see new country and finish the ride. i have test ridden many bikes and all I can say is that this engine is special. The power delivery is so smooth. I changed heaps of gears and was sitting above 7000 rpm for most of the ride but this was a test so I was being very hard on the bike to see if it would break. In the end the ali express gps mount failed which Craig Kelly who built the bike said he wasn’t happy with it. Quad lock rather then ram mount will be my first attempt to fix things. Go and put your order on one and do 1000 km and then do the suspension settings mentioned and you have yourself such a fun capable adventure bike. Ps On the bitumen twisty roads this bike is simply awesome . It’s like driving a boat , get it up on the plain and keep it there.
Riders with feet over size 10 will want a longer gear lever.
