Ich hatte mich auch auf bis zu 30 Tage eingestellt.
Am 22.02 Bestellt, am 24.02 geliefert

Mal eine kurze Frage an die, die ihr Display getauscht haben. Bei mir "löst" sich so langsam das Dispaly auf, wird spröde. Falls jemand sein analoges Kombiinstrument veräußern möchte, bitte kurze PN.

Sorry for the English but my German is limited to words I picked up at the Hofbräuhaus during Octoberfest in the '70's.

I've been emailing and speaking the techs at Koso North America in Quebec, Canada since the release of the RX-5 in November '22. I started a thread at r1200gs.info which outlines the initial problems with the RX-5 presenting fault codes when the bike has a diagnostic scan done, specifically ABS. KOSO subsequently pulled the unit from sale until their engineers could write new firmware so that the unit could 'pair' with the bike's main computer.

As we all know they have re-released the display with the promise that the issue is resolved. When I spoke with their tech two weeks ago I asked if the new firmware also allowed for adjustment to the spring preload for bikes with D-ESA. The tech emailed the engineers in Taiwan who told him it had. My next question was where is the updated PDF user manual which will show how to make these adjustments to the preload. (helmet, 2 helmets and helmet with luggage icons). The answer was when the engineers in Taiwan return to work after the lunar new year holiday.

The sales manager for KOSO emailed me last week saying that the new PDF manual will be out in the beginning of March. Lovely....hahaha.

I'm interested on reading of any other issues users have found or features that are missing. Unfortunately KOSO says that the end user can't flash new firmware via bluetooth so if changes have to be made I'm assuming that means it has to be sent back for updating.

Hopefully google translate can make sense of what I've typed. Thanks guys....

I think the first real experiences will appear here once the season has started. The problems may probably also dependent on the software version of the control units. From 2017, for example, the setting 1 helmet <-> 2 helmets no longer existed. Since then only Max/Min/Auto. This seems to be displayed correctly.
We'll see what else happens here.

Understood, I'd be interested to find out what shows up on the RX-5 display when the rider toggles through the preload suspension button on the left hand controls. On my '17 GSA (built in June 17) there is no auto on the ESA adjustment.

Nach einhelliger Meinung wird der Kilometerstand im Steuergerät gespeichert. Somit wäre deine Frage mit ja zu beantworten.

Thanks Rick, well if the new pdf doesn't make it more clear for those with the icon driven preload settings I guess I'll just have to click through the settings until I feel the bike raise or lower to the setting I need at the time.

For me the reason not to buy the device!

Yes 2024. I use the Cardo Edge for communication and when there's an update the app on my iPhone gives me a notification . I just put the Cardo Edge module next to the phone and click 'Update'...... new firmware installed. The RX-5 has so much potential it's too bad.

However, I am still interested in it. Right now I rely on my Garmin Zumo XT to see my speed clearly as my old eyes can't make out the small numbers on the analogue display.

Da wäre für mich mal interessant, wer außer Makes2068 und Ron_from_BC sonst noch Probleme mit dem RX5 hat(te) und welches Baujahr betroffen ist. Wenn ich das so lese, scheinen ja die Mops mit dem Dynamic ESA der ersten Generation betroffen zu sein (Anzeige mit den Helmen anstatt Min/Max/Auto).

Ich war heute mal in der Garage und hab die Programme durchgeschaltet.
Meines erachtens funktioniert alles normal, ich kann zwar noch keien
Probefahrt machen aber das Fahrwerk fährt die einzelnen Einstellungen an,
auch ohne Helme.
