Zigy from Boulder, CO here: riding only BMW since 1989, only GS since 1996: R1100, R1150, R1200, R1200GSW (destroyed in Baja Mexico, November 2017). I keep a 2005 GS at Hamburg in Sankt George.
Touring history: all of US West, Alaska (2x) and Alcan Highway, British Columbia; NZ (2x), Tasmania,
Canadian Maritime Provinces, Mississippi River from New Orleans to it's source in Minnesota, United States, much of Europe, UK / Scotland .
May 31 I arrive in Hamburg and on 4 June take ferry to Helsinki and then CarTrain to Rovaniemi to Nordkapp, and down westcoast Norway, Stockholm, thru Denmark back to Hamburg and then down to the Swiss Alps and Dolomites, to family in Bergamo , IT and back to Hamburg, leaving 3 August.
Always happy to meet other travelers in the world, and I am on the ADVider Tent Space List; happy to host you when you come to America.
Formerly photojournalist for many international magazines including STERN and the Mirror, now a psychotherapist working with men.
