Klingt doch schon mal gut
"Our latest batch of exclusive black-and-white photographs reveal full details of BMW’s soon to be released R1200GS Adventure.
The pictures originate from a design patent BMW accidentally allowed to be published. They show the Adventure from every angle making it possible work out what changes have been made.
Most significant is the larger fuel tank, big enough to match the current Adventure’s 33 litre capacity. If correct, expect a two-thirds increase in capacity over the base R1200GS, boosting range from around 300km to over 500km.
The normal Adventure formula appears to have been followed stringently with the bike’s ride height increased by around 30mm and the stock GS optional wire wheels fitted as standard. Another base GS option shown is BMW’s LED headlight. The luggage rack has also been replaced with a simpler version allowing for fitment of a wide range of aftermarket luggage.
The bike is clearly fitted with BMW’s Dynamic ESA semi-active suspension, but it’s unknown if this is standard equipment. If so, it will allow BMW to program specific settings for the bike’s extra weight and the potentially larger luggage load. The firm’s Enduro ASC traction control is sure to be fitted, as well as the matching ABS set-up which allows anti-lock to be used even when the GS is off-road."
